The Mensa Education & Research Foundation and Mensa members are proud of their history of providing scholarships to selected essay winners.
More than 9,200 students competed for 188 scholarship awards at the local, regional, national, and international levels with a combined value of more than $85,000. The 88 American Mensa Local Groups who participated and completed the scholarship judging have a $300 Karen Cooper or Diana Mossip Memorial Scholarship awarded on their behalf to a student with the funding provided by the Mensa Foundation.
Winners came from 43 states and 5 countries. Top states in number of U.S. winners were California, Florida, Michigan, and Texas.
