Mensa International Grant Expands Speaker Series

Share article

Beginning April 2027, the Mensa Foundation Speaker Series will be free and open to all, with monthly presentations exploring a broader range of topics.

The Mensa Foundation is pleased to announce a $19,000 grant from Mensa International that will make the Speaker Series free and open to all while expanding programming from six to 12 virtual events annually, beginning in April 2027.

The expansion will provide audiences worldwide with more opportunities to engage with compelling speakers and thought-provoking ideas. Building on its longstanding focus on intelligence and giftedness, the series will introduce new subjects that encourage curiosity and lifelong learning.

More Opportunities to Learn

By removing registration fees and doubling the number of annual events, the Foundation will make the Speaker Series more accessible to audiences both within and beyond the Mensa community.

The grant will also allow the Foundation to offer more competitive speaker honoraria, expanding its ability to attract accomplished speakers and bring additional perspectives to the series. Each monthly event will feature a live presentation and audience discussion.

Extending Mensa’s Reach

Mensa International’s investment reflects a shared commitment to expanding educational opportunities worldwide. By supporting an established Foundation program, Mensa International is helping extend the reach of Mensa’s educational efforts beyond its membership.

The grant also demonstrates the value of collaboration between Mensa International and the Foundation. Together, the organizations can build on their strengths to make engaging educational experiences available to more people.

Additional information about the 2027–2028 series, including how to register, will be announced in the coming months.
