John F. Feldhusen Wins Mensa Lifetime Achievement Award

John F. Feldhusen, Ph.D., The Robert B. Kane Distinguished Professor of Education Emeritus at Purdue University, is the 2002 recipient of the Mensa Education & Research Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award. The presentation will be made today at a reception in Doctor Feldhusen’s honor on the campus of Purdue University.

Dr. Feldhusen was the founding Director of the Gifted Education Resource Institute at Purdue, an institute dedicated to increasing our understanding of the nature and nurture of gifted individuals.

Dr. Feldhusen holds a bachelor of arts degree from Carroll College in Wisconsin and master of science and philosophy doctorate degrees from the University of Wisconsin (Madison). He is licensed for private practice in psychology by the Indiana Board of Examiners in Psychology.

Doctor Feldhusen is listed in Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who in America, among many others. He has written numerous articles and treatises as well as several texts on a variety of educational and psychological topics. He has received numerous citations, awards and other recognition. He has also received more than two million dollars in research grants during his career.
