Kids Trek pinata

Kids Trek

Kids Trek has been coordinated at American Mensa Annual Gatherings since 1997 by Martha Williams, an incredible teacher and Mensan. Recognizing the potential genius of each child, Kids Trek offers a multi-intelligence approach to the diversity of humankind. The many unique talents of the children are encouraged through visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic activities of music, art, science, history, drama and more. The program takes place on each full day of the Annual Gathering and features a theme specially tailored to provide education about the AG's city and state.

Kids Trek is open to children ages 5-12 who are attending the AG; parents and children both must be registered for the event. Parents are welcome to remain in the Kids Trek room to observe or to assist with learning activities.

The Mensa Foundation provides funding in support of Kids Trek programming. For more information on each year's Kids Trek program, visit www.ag.us.mensa.org.

On behalf of Kids Trek, the Foundation thanks Highlights Magazine for supplying materials for the program since 1998.
