Named scholarships

The Foundation administers numerous scholarships named in honor of Mensans or Local Groups.

 

Peter Booras Scholarship: for a student studying or planning a career in education.   

Broward Mensa Scholarship

 Grad and change photo

Chicago Area Mensa Scholarship: student must be a resident of, or attend school in, the geographical area of Chicago Area Mensa.

Peggy Deane Scholarship: student must be a resident of the Greater New York Mensa area.

Harper Fowley/Isolated M Scholarship: for an undergraduate studying liberal arts.

Fruecht/McGrew Scholarship: regional scholarship for a physics or chemistry major, or someone returning or who has returned to school after an absence of five or more years.

Galiley Scholarship

Carol Gomez Memorial Scholarship: student must be a resident of the Delaware Valley Mensa area.

Glenn & Edith Greathouse Scholarship

Greater Los Angeles Area Mensa Scholarship

Grosswirth-Salny Fund

Jack Haley Scholarship

Chod Harris Scholarship: student must be a resident of the Redwood Empire Mensa area.

Hazelbaker Scholarship

Helen Kupper Scholarship: for the study of music or music education.

Rita Levine Scholarship: for a female returning or has returned to school after an absence of seven or more years.

Lester London Scholarship: for a graduate student in history.

David Mann Scholarship: for the study of aeronautical engineering or an aerospace field.

Marjorie Mandelblatt Scholarship: national award given in honor of this Mensan and former Mensa Bulletin editor.

John Matthews/Central Indiana Scholarship: student must be a resident of the Central Indiana Mensa area.

Minnesota Mensa Scholarship

Orange County Mensa Scholarship: student must be a resident of the Orange County Mensa area.

Oregon Mensa Scholarship

Tom Pyter Scholarship: regional award created by friends of Tom Pyter, who was a Michigan Mensan.

Jerry Salny Scholarship

J.F. Schirmer Scholarship

Margot Seitelman Scholarship: for a graduate student who plans a career in professional writing or teaching English grammar and/or writing.

Grace Harrington Wilson Scholarship: for a female student with a focus in journalism.

Joe Zanca Scholarship
